DIGITAL MEDIA
As I set out on the LDT300X course: Digital Media, New Tools and Technology, I will be building a portfolio to showcase my abilities in creating, using and evaluating digital media for learning. Check back each week as I add more resources to these pages.

Applying design principles to create clean, clear and engaging texts for learning.
An example of my work with digital text: to produce a handout for the Professional Development Workshop, "Introduction to Print Making in the Primary Classroom."
Developing a storyboard and producing an instructional video to meet a Specific Learning Objective
Using Storyboarding and Audio and Video tools to adapt an existing course resource for the digital learning landscape.
Creating and editing SVG, JPEG and PND images to create original branding and materials for online and print.
This project necessitated the design of an original SVG Logo along with an image rich branding concept for social media and print marketing.

Evaluating Digital Media for use in Education and Training
The internet is flooded with resources for learning, from textbooks to You Tube tutorials, infographics to podcasts. What makes a digital resource suitable for your needs? This free checklist will help you consider the legal and technical considerations, design and quality of the resources you use for learning.
Exploring video techniques and accessibility
For this project I created an instructional video on SVG creation, designed with Univeral Design for Learning Principles, combining video, audio and closed caption subtitles.
