A systems approach to learning design
Dick and Carey's nine step model is used for creating learning plans which meet clear learning goals and which take into account the context of the instruction and assessment, and the needs of the learners.
It is a popular choice as a course design framework in academic courses and online learning.
For the third assignment of the EdX Instructional Design Models course, I recorded a podcast outlining the 9 stages, with examples at each stage as well as an overview of how the model meets my needs as a Learning Designer.
